I'm not thinking there will be many takers. Got a different perspective last week. We had a super senior WB captain from up north on the jumpseat. I had to ask, and his response was "No way". It seemed to be less about the money than the enjoyment of seniority. He can break up his vacation, and only fly one four day a month for four months a year. With sick time......
If these guys are still enjoying seeing Europe, Asia, or wherever they're getting their jollies, they aint goin' anywhere, much to our disappointment. |

I think you are spot on about the WB As. I think it might be different for the NB As, though. I've flown with one definite and one maybe and jumped with one who would if the medical was better. Life ain't nearly so grand in the narrow body domestic world...

That sounds like a dishonest excuse to me. The original DPA thread got moved to "Union Talk" at least a week ago. I immediately questioned the fact that the ALPA/Jet Blue thread was not given the same treatment. After no response, I then questioned it again. When a new thread about DPA showed up today, it was immediately moved to "Union Talk." The ALPA/Jet Blue thread is still in the Major section. If you already had time to move the original DPA thread a long time ago and then today's DPA thread to Union Talk, then you also had time to move the ALPA/Jet Blue thread that has existed for several weeks and to which I have called the moderator's attention three times now. I'm not buying your lame excuse. Sorry, but it seems obvious to me that you are practicing selective censorship. Not cool.
Your noting of a lack of consistency is the most important part. When someone on a majors thread talks about a safety issue, why don't the mods move it to the safety forums? Same with talk about anything technical, or someone asking about military leave, etc. It's blatant inconsistency, but the mods get to make the rules and amend them as their desired ideology requires. My bid on how many pilots will take the early out:
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...id/temp8-2.jpg Yall know the rules, the player whose bid is closest to the actual retail price of the prize, or the number who will take the early out, without going over wins the prize and plays the next pricing game... guessing how many pilots retire in the next 5 years. |

There's no question it's selective censorship. Almost all the mods here are genetic ALPA apologists and will not tolerate a thread that doesn't aid the cause of ALPA. I've sent private and public messages to APC's co-founder to have the DPA thread moved back to the majors forum. No response at all.

Carl So let's just close this thread then. It's violated every rule on here and I'm ok with that. If you don't get your way its alpa's fault. If a mod doesn't mod the way you want they must be labeled as alpa apologists. Give me an effin break. I signed the damm dpa card and I still disagree with all you wacky conspiracy theorists. Carl , this isn't just aimed at you. I respect your opinion. Your last post just put me over the edge. I'm just sick of nit-picking. Maybe one of the believers in black helicopters and tin foil hats should volunteer to help moderate this site. |
