Yep. Like like opening the door at D-5 to let a Jumpseating Pilot/Non-reving employee on the aircraft if it will not delay the flight.

Great companies empower employees - bureaucracies mico-manage them.

Thinking of bidding ATL330???

Just a little something for you to mull over if considering doing MED flying :)

I copied these from the user comments on another site for one of our Africa hotels. Mods if this violates TOS, then please remove. These are not the only bad reviews btw . . . .

"On May 17, 2011, while sleeping in my bed, a cockroach laid eggs and they hatched. More than 100 babies were in my coverlet crawling around ... the Mgr said he KNEW of the problem!!!!!!

"The A/C is out in about 2/3rds of the hotel rooms. The Mgr finally admitted that it will not be fixed until the end of the year!!!!! This is only May people!"

I think the best way for DAL to handle the youtbe/military incident would be(have been) to invite the guy over, and put out a video describing the existing policy, showing what size bags we allow(ed) for the first three, and have some testimonials about examples of the military being treated properly. I think you could have RA warmly invite the soldier that went [deleted] on youtube, and offer him a look at the operation, the size of bags, the area they have to fit in, the impact of the weight on cost, etc.

I don't think retreating everytime someone puts themselves on youtube will be a very effective defense. The first airline that has a warm, sincere, effective counter that will be designed to get the youtube hit instead of the original video, and presents the other side of the story, wins. The airline that doesn't understand that you can't run everytime someone uses the web... loses.

Someone really f'd up the response on this one.

Exactly. Don't feed the bugs: stay out of New York. We'll drive over the bugs to cover the flying.

Yall ever look at this website?

The Aviation Herald

You can learn a lot about your airline from it. Like I didn't know we had an A320 that had the 90 degree off nose wheel landing like the Jetblue 320 in LAX?

Just talked to a couple of MSP 320 guys on the commute to NYC. The FO was a 3/03 hire and was happy to see that the bottom 50 guys in DTW are junior to him. That CA lamented the fact that the old WB CAs are never going to leave. Both said that a lot of the MSP senior people are local and would not follow the plane to ATL. Also said they weren't going to retire either. The consensus was that they would just flow to the ER in MSP. Anyone have a computer model on how that will cascade throughout the system?

That's a better option than having them displace 744 guys, which many of them can do... Both A's and B's.
