Juries also "proved" that OJ and Casey Anthony were innocent.
The juries found that there was not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they were guilty, thus presumed innocent. |

Did get 1st group of early outs retire on August 1st? I moved up almost 30 #'s on the August seniority list which seems like a lot. Nice move either way :)

Any news on another merger? I continue to hear that DALPA has a merger committee up & running at the company's request. Who's the target?

The two usual suspects (AS and HI) are what the rumors are circulating around. |

So I think I had the highest VR I've had to date on the 88/90... 157.
We're doing flaps 5 takeoffs so just ignore us as we zoom by and rotate on the numbers on the far end of a 12,000 runway. Yehaw. Reminds me of one of the two times in 3000 hrs of C-9 flying in the Navy when we took off "Slats only." Don't remember the actual V speeds but they were somewhere around there. It was at NAS Fallon in the summer (think about 4000 MSL and 120F). We are given taxi directions to the "short" runway and tell tower we need the longer runway. The controller comes back with something like "Well you have 11,000 feet - you need more than that?" We say "Yes, we would like the 14,000 ft runway." We would actually have to fly west to Travis or Lemoore to get down to sea level, top off and then head to the east coast. As Bruce would say "Glory Days!" Scoop :) |
15% payraise? Passes probably at 55% min.
That's my feel talking to pilots. You can try to talk about SWA and Fedex but some don't care. "I don't want to fly all night!" um, even on the 88 I seem to be landing at 1-3am lately. "I don't want to fly SWA trips. It's too much. I come here, I want 1-2 legs a day, I want long overnights so I can drink some beer. I mean those guys do like 20 hour 3 days! That's stupid." I'll keep fighting but 55% at a min if they promise 15% raise, that's my sad bet. |

Something for everybody I guess, but my 1.5 hr butt likes to be productive, which means no 3 hour sits or 32 hr layovers in the usual maddog garden spots. |
Delta and NWA was a full blown merger. Would buying JB, AK or anyone else also be considered a merger or an aqusistion?
