Its been there for awhile. I think there were some guys having a difficult transition going from the Airbus to the Boeing, at least that was the scuttlebutt when they published the guide.

Myself, Johnso, and many others were forced to make that transition. I flew the 320 for well over a year as a new hire before I was displaced to the DC-9. An airplane's an airplane. They all go up, they all go down. Most pilots at Delta were taught how to fly on steam gauges. We can all do it again. It's the pilots that did their private pilot training in glass that will have the problems.

Question for you scheduling gurus. I just put in some WS for June and was awarded one for the end of the month that spills into July. I picked up 2 back to back 3 days taking me into July so I will have a 30 in 7 problem to fly on the 3rd.
So knowing that I am on the bubble to hold the 4th off can I use this to my advantage. Can I bid for trips that operate over those days I am flying or the 30 in 7 issue days. I have tried in the past to pick up trips during the bidding window and have been denied. When does the company take a snap shot of your schedule for use with PBS? |
Yes, the ATL 767 is still a category that can be bid FWIW. They generally are not going to put anyone in it though.
