That may be true for you, but most of the pilots I talk to are not contributing because of Age 65, and as a result of that support by ALPA, they refuse to contribute.

You are 100% correct.

If they thought DPA would divide us, management wouldn't have tried to chase them off the property as hard as they did in the ATL event. DPA would strongly unify this pilot group over the issue of Scope IMO. ALPA simply cannot do that by their own current structure. As long as we go into Section 6 with ALPA representing us, we will be a terribly divided group over the issue of Scope. Period.

The account balance we have now and will continue to amass belongs to Delta pilots...not ALPA. ALPA cannot take that money from Delta pilots if we were to vote in an in-house union.

Don't underestimate ALPA's ability to make another huge miscalculation and cause DPA cards to come flooding in.

I agree with you man, but please understand that ALPA is the main reason people like this exist! Imagine the minds that could be changed if there were constant fact-based letters from ALPA explaining exactly why Scope relaxation hurts EVERYONE. Why doesn't ALPA do this? They've written some beautiful fact-based documents lately hoping to "educate" us on the process, our contract history, etc. This is proof that they have it in them. They ARE capable of it. But they WILL NOT do this with regard to Scope. Why?

You cannot minimize the impact ALPA's failure to communicate on scope has on the creation and furtherance of these Captain Clueslesses. DPA is 100% clear on this issue. It is why DPA is happening in the first place. ALPA could kill DPA with a series of Scope education letters, but they won't...because they can't

Standing by for the same weak rationalization.
Why would anyone support a PAC that is not even discussing the slot swap issue as a PAC consideration? Why would anyone support a PAC that walks away from the 1500 hour rule, and caves in on FT/DT?

The ALPA-PAC is all about electing far-left politicians. That's not an appropriate function of an Airline Pilot's union.

Speaking only for myself, I would add I was completely underwhelmed with ALPA's positions on both the proposed Flight Time/Duty Time regulations and the 1,500 hour rule affecting new hires.

Similarly, WHERE IS CREW PASS?

Some Flight Attendants require the bag must fit wheels in, handle out, in the overhead bins. Sideways, where it takes up half the bin is not allowed. With the 100+ load factors we have right now (every seat full, plus jumps) cabin space is restricted.

The only rule that might be violated is failure to comply with a Crew Member's instructions, but I saw it today and the 22" bag got checked. Mine was crammed under the seat in front of me.

Quick question for you guys. Don't we have a rotation garuntee? I did a trip that was a 2 day that was worth 10:10 when I checked in ( on reserve) and after check in a flight was cancelled, which led to two more cancelled flights. After all was said and done, ended up with 7:50.

Does that sound right?

I'd be reassured if I thought the Reps actually controlled the union. Fact is this current union is run by the exact same inner circle as under Moak, with now his protege as chairman, and half the Reps doing what they are instructed by the above. Do you really expect any different result? If scope was not sacrosanct under Moak it's not now.

Reserves don't get rotation guarantee.
