Speaking only for myself, I would add I was completely underwhelmed with ALPA's positions on both the proposed Flight Time/Duty Time regulations and the 1,500 hour rule affecting new hires.

Similarly, WHERE IS CREW PASS?

Some Flight Attendants require the bag must fit wheels in, handle out, in the overhead bins. Sideways, where it takes up half the bin is not allowed. With the 100+ load factors we have right now (every seat full, plus jumps) cabin space is restricted.

The only rule that might be violated is failure to comply with a Crew Member's instructions, but I saw it today and the 22" bag got checked. Mine was crammed under the seat in front of me.

Quick question for you guys. Don't we have a rotation garuntee? I did a trip that was a 2 day that was worth 10:10 when I checked in ( on reserve) and after check in a flight was cancelled, which led to two more cancelled flights. After all was said and done, ended up with 7:50.

Does that sound right?

I'd be reassured if I thought the Reps actually controlled the union. Fact is this current union is run by the exact same inner circle as under Moak, with now his protege as chairman, and half the Reps doing what they are instructed by the above. Do you really expect any different result? If scope was not sacrosanct under Moak it's not now.

Reserves don't get rotation guarantee.

ALPA waived American Eagle's Section 1 (pretty much all of it) for a flow through to no where. The deal was signed by the contract compliance chair, not the MEC Chair and despite the major change, no membership ratification.

The idea that an MEC administration can make material changes to a contract without MEMRAT keeps me up at night.

Those of you who think "who cares about Eagle" don't understand pattern bargaining. Think to when you first heard about a "76 seat scope grievance settlement" and how much pilot input there was on that deal.

Reserves do not have rotation guarantee.

Hey I tried to put up a resolution that would change the policy manual, but the guy in the room did not like it.

Most in the room felt that the reps should be given the latitude to do what they do, which is represent us. If you do not like that, there is a LEC44 meeting on Aug 8th.

Depends, if your last duty period was a dead head leg, it was not a "duty period" per our contract. As a reserve, no we do not enjoy a rotation guarantee.

I like your resolution, but, it should not be necessary. Current policy requires MEMRAT. Folks just aren't following it. Of course, they are exposing ALPA to DFR claims, but they seem not to care.
