I'm not even sure why you would think that a bunch of guys who have stepped up to the plate to represent and make efforts to improve the pay and working conditions of the pilots of Delta Air Lines would be doing anything OTHER than working to maximize the amount of compensation and benefits for the pilots of Delta!
Do you walk into the airport and start announcing to everyone around you that you are about to go fly a plane? NO. It's patently obvious that is what your intentions are, there isn't a need to parade around and rub it in people's faces*.
They ARE working towards improving our situation...every day!.... It's just that 15 months before a contract is amendable and the pilots have not been surveyed is not the appropriate time or place to go off and start beating your war drums. I have no doubt we will see the big guns come out, but they have to be unleashed at the right time for maximum effect. It's that "don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" thing. I advocate staying informed, volunteering to help when able, setting up your strike fund, and most of all patience, Grasshopper.
*Unless of course you are that FO at CAL who used to stand in a major intersection in the EWR concourse with the Tom Cruise Ray-Bans and just let everyone know that he's a "real pilot".

Tell you what... If our opener is for full restoration (C2K+COLA) with significant get-backs on scope. And if we end up with C2012 with our domestic narrowbody guys averaging over $230K for Captains and over $140K for F/O's (like SWA) while at least holding the line on our current scope. If either of those things happen, the steak dinner with all the trimmings is on me. You just name the time and place!
Now that's the Moscow I know and love. The Beatles were right, "Moscow girls make me scream and shout"

A tip of the hat to you sir! Best Google Image lead of the week!
Moscow can be both fascinating and scary in the summer. You can get ones that look like this, but you can also end up with something that will scare the living daylights out of you. Those fur coats cover up a lot in the winter, and when summer comes, not all that is seen is that good looking.
The ER was very busy to the Labor Day weekend, and now it has just died. It is nice to get a break. Next month I have to go work a regular LOT. Scary.

My theory remains they are parking crews on the MD88 and staffing most everything else for a capacity reduction. The 767 and ER are one part seasonal and one part a reluctance to close the domestic category in ATL.
We will see on this next bid. Another big purge to the MD88 right seat will be getting the ducks lined up in seniority order. Watch the ratio of MD88 FO's to Captains.

maybe that's why she's wearing a full-face helmet?
Very good New. I'd like to laugh
, but it kind of hurts.
Frontier, don't they fly our EMB-175s?
The only thing I can say about a pension, whats to stop it from being cancelled some other day? I'd rather have the money in my hands to screw up then to be eliminated. Cuts to military pensions are being discussed again and that's from an employer who can print money... and does.

I think I threw in the pension thing because I'm going to be making some tough decisions in the next few months regarding my mother and the fact that she has a pension makes some of them easier.
We do still need an enhanced retirement though.
