No. I'm trying to help you. You need to find another job. You will never see a raise at Comair. It will cease to exist in a few years. No one on this board will change that. Most pilots on this Delta thread do not feel bad for you or care.

Don't pretend to speak for me. Btw, by your own timeline you weren't on the Delta property (not even in aviation period) when the JC Lawson letter went down. Get over yourself.

Hey Bar, how about a little unity lecture for your junior peer?

Shouldnt the final ruling on the slot swap be announced today?

It's in the same presser announcing the adaptation of CrewPass nationwide.

In the last nine years, every airline has hired except for American. You especially won't get any sympathy from a Delta pilot. You know the pilots that you refused to let work at your company unless we resigned our recall rights. You made your bed.

I hold no ill will towards any of the FOs at Comair. JC Lawson hijacked that group, and besides, I doubt if Boomer were even there when that transpired. And in case YOU haven't been paying attention, it's not like there are a lot of aviation jobs out there for the youngster to go jump on to get his quals. If this mythical pilot shortage ever materializes, you might have a point. Until then I wish him the best and hope he throws gear for me one day real soon. I might even buy him a beer or two. I get your anger about the resignation of recall rights and all that, but cut the kid some slack. HE didn't do that. Now if JC Lawson walked in the room on fire I wouldn't... you know the rest...

I'm guessing he will never throw gear for you. He probably does not meet the college education requirement of Delta. I treat everyone with respect. The truth is though for us to take back our flying, we have to put our current regional pilots on the street. Some of them will make it to the majors, some of them will not. It is what it is. We can't have it both ways. Joe Merchant will preach this all day. He's against us, and I don't blame him.

Ummm, weren't you hired by NW?

Please, don't speak for our pilot group.

Part of me really itches to lower the bar and go for the quick upgrade.

I've even been told by Delta Captains that I should go to Republic or Freedom to clear the Comair stain off my resume. Talk about irony...

GoJetsss has a pilot job fair in CVG in two weeks. Do you guys think a move to GoJetssss Street Captain will improve my chances of getting hired at Delta?

Not unless you wear your hat to the interview.

I'm pretty much a ditto with T on this one.

Comair - wholly owned, shrinking, has flown DAL pax exclusively for X years, ALPA, etc. I'd rather see Comair get all our outsourced flying and revisit the staple.

I got lots of schoolin' and a couple degrees along the way. Military and civilian.

But I can understand your assumption - I too see the pilot kids in the terminal and I have to shake my head.

Now back to the comparison of pay for Southwest vs Delta's domestic operations (DCI)...

(Wow, my 2000th post. I feel so important)
