The only thing I want that SWA has is their pay rates for our 88s/90s and up from there. They can keep the rest of their gig.

Plus SWAPA's scope. Fixed your post! :D

I'm asking because, I am trying to figure out why crew scheduling has assigned 7 short calls out 11 guys on reserve for tomorrow in my category. They only require 2 and the next open trip is on Dec 22? Maybe they are just trying to make sure we all get five before the end of the month.......

There's a hint of snow in the North Georgia mountains tomorrow night.

HA! I didn't know that ATL even had de-ice trucks. I am sure that will be a cluster *******. Real snow or just flurries?

Calling for light stuff. I can't imagine the ground is cold enough for much to accumulate. Although doesn't take much for ATL to grind to a halt--they do have trucks, just not enough pads to put the aircraft in.

Easy, end of the month, possibly weather, and since many have not flown, they will burn SC's because they can.

The NMB just tossed out another "interference" claim.
This time its the Tech Ops guys and their vote against the IAM..

Delta Air Lines wins another dispute over union elections - Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal

Probably gonna be a clean sweep.
The unions are going to lose all these protests since they were all based on the same conduct.

Pilots and Dispatchers will be the only unions at Delta.
Considering the NWA history, Richard Anderson has got to be on cloud nine.

Carl;
The point was that he has been talking about a particular rep making these statements and I wanted him to admit that this person did not get reelected. Ergo, the person he had an issue with did not get to keep his seat.

2 out of 3 did, but you are right, the main one did not. All of them, though, had that same attitude. Again, mouth agape was the common face that day.

All 3 of them had that attitude, managing expectations. 1 now is gone. One still there asked me about getting a SWA wage increase, "What would Wall Street think?". I responded "I don't care!"

Exactly. The MEC would never allow itself to be displaced by a grassroots movement. Too much FPL gravy there--just for starters. Not to mention the exorbitant expenses for MEC boondoggles on our dime.

How about this: DALPA negotiates SWA scope and pay plus, and leaves the snarky and irrelevant talking points to management.

seriously. I don't need to be insulted by "my" bargaining agent. If you can't, won't, or have too much at stake personally to address the issues at hand, just have the integrity to say so and step back.

Integrity. What was I thinking.
