Yeah but it does seem like a waste of money to displace pilots with all the bennies involved when the airframe is headed to the desert anyway.. I guess it's all part of that balance sheet thingy that they do.

Add to that on the last AE lots of junior guys were displaced from DTW 320B to MEM 320B so now they'll be displaced AGAIN. Way to save $$$.

Finally I can contribute to a question. FWIW, I've played several times on trips...I highly, highly recommend you bring your shoes, glove, balls and tees, and rent clubs at the proshop. If the course is decent, you should get something better than the ol' grab bag they put together. I rented in Mexico and got Ping G15's with a Scotty Cameron putter.

I tried to get a walking bag with about 6 clubs through security in PNS...I'm going to stop short of describing my frustration due to the terms of service on this forum. I suppose a 9 iron was more dangerous in the eyes of TSA than the "other" bag I had with me.

Off to the course now...7 years to the Champions Tour.

I kind of like snap backs or snap ups better than profit sharing.

Profit sharing sounds good, kind of like a commission check, but you don't get commission checks working an assembly line because you didn't do anything other than QC that screw you turned.

I'd rather have a snap up to a different pay rate or override depending on certain scenarios. And it's pay, not a one time check.

Speaking of pay, group thoughts on going back to premium pay over 80 hours? Pro's and con's?

Personally I like premium pay over 75 hrs...as a small piece of work rule changes/ improvements. I dont see much downside (combined with fixing trip parking) and I think it is something of a furlough mitigator or said another way junior guy protection.

I prefer a hard cap of 80 credit hours and the return of the bow wave!

6:00 min. per CALENDAR DAY.... No "average" anything. PER DAY for ALL events (training, home study, vacation, Reserve, DH only, Short call, non-domicile calendar day layover, etc.)!

Making premium pay easy is just a way to get guys to wh0re themselves out and reduce staffing.

I agree. I'd prefer the bow wave so guys don't fly their butts off. Also defeats trip parking.

FedEx them to your hotel. Works great and I think it's fairly cheap.

If I were going to play the Old Course, or any of the biggies in Scotland, I might do that... otherwise, since moving to Florida 12 years ago, I hardly play anymore and my game has gone considerably downhill, so taking my bats for a public goat track somewhere in Brazil just isn't worth the hassle. But that's just me. Caipirinha anyone?

I could go for that as well.

6:00 Daily Minimum Pay is long overdue.
Any company assigned activity = Minimum Pay for that day.

Cheers

Shiz;

As far as I'm concerned that is a pretty acceptable fix too. It isn't that I am wishy washy. I definitely dont want a system in which I am constantly wondering if I should work more days for more money. I want to work a reasonable amount for more money. I like to be with my family a lot more than I like to be on the road.

Absolutely agree on the min day value for all items training, vacation, etc.

Taxiway M or whatever is parallel to 3R. It's a washboard!

Just like most the roads around the airport (Eureka Rd is a mine field). Wait til winter when the plows rip up all the asphalt patchwork! T

Last I heard the airport had plenty of cash (know a guy who knows a guy in airport management). Their spending a ton of cash to build the run up pad and redo the taxiways over by the Fedex and Delta hangers (in between 4r and 4l).
