AE question. As I look at the 'Count Pilots Holding a Preference for a Specific Category', I understand they are senior to me. Is that number only AE's or MD's as well? If the number of 'First Pref' pilots is higher than your projected seniority from the bottom of that category, is it hopeless to be awarded the AE?

AE's only. It does not count VD's or MD's and is effectively useless in a bid like this. Just bid percentages.

It's kind of useless like the number of reserves available page. It is only the number of AEs, not MDs. But.. it is not hopeless, because if those senior to you that have something as a choice have a restriction on their bid.. like reg only or top 50%, you might sneak in with a no restriction bid...

Or they could be on a category freeze and therefore ineligible even though they have a preference in. As the others have said, it's basically useless.

As the saying goes, bid what you want . . . . . .

Dude...that's not a Delta guy... and that's not a smart phone. It's obviously a JetBlue pilot... and he's rolling one!

Yeah, but this wasn't "seasonal" flying. This was year round flying between PR and Memphis, and into/out of China.

Probably changing the gauge and you might have caught it mid upload. Go check the sked loads in the Marketing site.

It does look like they had bookings and the flights are cancelled though.

I have heard they do not like flying 757-200ERs across the pond, too much hassle. But, CAL (UA) does it, so maybe that will keep the pressure on to keep flying them there.

The passengers like it a lot more than a connection in Europe!
