The Shat just took about 7 minutes from me. Watch the "real fryer fire" video afterwards for a wakeup call.

Where do you find this crap ftb? :D

My explanation as to how the bid window got expanded remains the same, or at least that's the story among the bottom management types.

In the past Delta has carried a few extra in category over and no displaced as many as initially published. ACL tells me it is unlikely in this bid, but we can always hope.

... and once again, folks down at my juniority are talking about going elsewhere. Last time Delta held a few back in category and it turned out to be mostly talk.

I guess I just think they can see with the 767 going away and say the ER goes senior that MD'd 737 pilots will go to another airplane's initial and then return as soon as they can to the 737. Given that 757s and 767s will be replaced by 100-130 future 739s why MD off that category? That's going to cost a lot of money.

He blessed you with 7 minutes you could have never had elsewhere.

BTW, you mean this video? I think this is what happened to that 737.

That makes a lot of sense.

We are officially told that they "don't care" about the cost and they will hit their numbers for the sake of hitting their numbers (while handing out a ton of green slips on the airplanes being cut down).

This case might be different because they are determined to shift the cost of NYC lodging to pilots.

Just my .02, ymmv.

EWR is not much of a factor at this time. THe only trips out of there that I am aware of is AMS.. and I am not sure that that is all year. Point is, that there are a lot of commuters in Pa, and those trips are NEVER in open time. THe last time I saw one was when I happened to check trip coverage, and a reserve got one of them.. but it never had shown up in open time. Personally, I wouldn't know how to even get to EWR if I got called out... it would probably take me half the day to get there.

Totally predictable. Echos of the MSP 330.

Here's a question for "MadDog Mushers": What's the real reason that the Aux pump switch has an OVRD position?

MAybe for the same reason 757s and 767s have an Anti Skid switch?

Not to take this part of your post out of context, but every time I read this.. or think about it.. it is more depressing..

Chicken/egg... is SWA becoming more like us.. or are we becoming more like them?
