Yes it runs 24 hrs, but I think I'm the only one doing this. Take bus or walk to Subway. Get on E train to the World Trade Center. Walk two blocks to the Path train and take it to Newark Penn Station. Get on local Bus to Newark Liberty Airport. Takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Cost $5.75 (also meet all kinds of folks that still don't fly).
Other wise, Flt Att golden touch, but they do not have to let you on, apparently the flight attendants can refuse to let you ride even if there are seats. That time of day a cab is probably over a hundred bucks. Another solution for Delta would be to pay for cabs to/from? EWR. Another suggestion for co-terminal airports would be for you to be able to specify the dept/arrival terminal for DH legs. If youre going to try the crewrunner get on at LGA. If you get on from Kew its always pretty full to lga. You guys can look at the schedule by going to the IFS portion of Deltanet and clicking on the NYC link at the bottom. |

I'm with Bar, end EWR as a part of NYC. If you look at the EWR flying it's not NYC flying, it's one leg out of EWR to ATL, 4 days in ATL, one leg back to EWR on the last flight. EWR should just be ATL flying, not NYC.
Because look at the trips, 4-day shows at 0515 and ends at 2010. Now if you're in Kew Gardens how in the world do you get to EWR for a 515 show? I'd say you go the night before. But what if you get a 0300 SC and they call at 314am. I'd pull the I'll get there when I get there but does the train even get there that early? We once were able to end all EWR flying on the 727. The company agreed it was a royal pain. The bid package came out with no EWR trips for the next month. Crew planning was slammed almost instantly with pilots calling to demand an explanation as to why all the EWR flying that they loved went away. The trips were put back in the following month. The NJ and PA commuters raised a huge stink. One pilots gold is another pilots trash. |

I don't recommend pilots using the Flight attendant Crew Runner anymore. There have been a couple of NYC pilots turned in recently for using it. It is for IFS only according to the rules, so be forewarned you could face a carpet dance if there is even 1 pi$$ed off FA who sees you riding and feels like making an issue....
Just know what you are getting yourself into. If so, why do we carry them all over New York on "our" van? How many things to they "me too" on with the pilots. Seems like ALPA and the CPO could agree nearly instantly that's a stupid rule and change it. |

Deleted. This part of the memo was copied verbatim off of a copyrighted company memo. Sorry.

Well, that's not >exactly< what was said, but we get the point. The first two sentences are correct tho.
