By the way!
This thread really has turned on a dime!
I think the bold typed language worked! Reminds me of when my dad would break up fights between my brother and I:D |

Fresh out of the ER training house: AE due out soon, to include the reduction of system wide ER pilots up to 400. You seem to know when AE's are due out...are you hearing any of this talk? Baja. AE will be out this week. It was to be out last week, but as we have seen, they did not get the final go ahead. FYI 400 pilots is all the line holder FO's in NYC, or 80% of ATL. Do you really think they are going to stop flying the ER that much? If anything 400 is the total 767 ATL domestic pilots left in category. They have the right to transition them to the ER and reduce that category to nil. FYP, from what I have gathered, the size and scope of this AE has been significantly paired down over what they were thinking. |
Much more enjoyable couple pages here... I was getting tired of wading through 90% Dalpa/DPA stuff when checking for AE rumors, what the 88 guys are up to, what life is like for the LAX step-children, which airlines are buying what, etc. etc.
It seems like it's high-time for an FTB post of "When's it gonna be the AE bid?" Friday spoof. |

Just received an email from Ken Kersey crew planning. I will not cut and paste because it would be inappropriate, but he did say AE this week and that it was not a "mega bid". His comment about "not a mega bid" was in reference to sharing with him the rumors on the line about the 400 ER pilots slots being moved or surplussed.
I personally think that anything like 400 in one category would be mega.... So this rumor has been bouncing around, again, I say it's very odd to do it where the very same months crew planning news letter says no MD's off the 767.

Rumor from someone in the CPO's office in ATL is 400 MD's off ATL 767.
Anyone else heard anything like that? |

It seems like it's high-time for an FTB post of "When's it gonna be the AE bid?" Friday spoof. It'd earn an infraction though. But it's funny. The stuff you find while looking for something else on google images searches. But if I may, google image searches can really screw up your computer. |

Question: Several first officers have told me that they will sign up for DPA if they believe our contract survey to be weak or ALPA's opener with Delta to be too low. Are we going to know what we are asking for in our opening exchange with management or the results of the contract survey? Answer: 8-1-11. The contract survey will be just that, a survey. Every pilot should complete it. We need 100% participation in order for the MEC to move forward with what the pilots want. Don't expect our contract survey or opener to be published until the opener has been exchanged. It is not good negotiating strategy to tell the other party what you intend to open with. There was no such caveat about waiting until the opener has been exchanged...only that we will not see the opener. It would be nice to see the opener after it's exchanged. We've always seen it in the past at NWA. Carl |

OK, this is in big font just so you read it: All posts after this one in regard to the DPA/DALPA debate must be made in the DPA thread. It's gotten out of control again, and instead of spending a bunch of time which I don't have to move the posts, this is the cut off point.
Carl- I'm expecting you to step up and take the lead on this. If I walk back in tonight and see a big chunk of your replies on this thread again, I'm going to be really really ticked. Well then you're going to be really, really ticked dude. I'm one guy who has been attempting to respond to darn near the entire MEC bureaucracy that post here. Did you notice my use of the word RESPOND there Clamp? I do not start any discussion about DPA on this thread, I only respond to the MEC guys that feel the constant need to ridicule its supporters. If these guys continue to START slamming the DPA and its supporters, I will continue to RESPOND to each and every one....even if it's a "big chunk". There's nothing against the TOS about responding to another's post. The fact that you haven't noticed that I only respond is interesting. Maybe it's just because it was easier to ask one guy to "step up and take the lead" as opposed to asking the dozen or so DPA insulters to do so. So this is easy...no insults about DPA and its supporters on this thread, and there will be no need for me to respond to them on this thread. Carl |
