Just received an email from Ken Kersey crew planning. I will not cut and paste because it would be inappropriate, but he did say AE this week and that it was not a "mega bid". His comment about "not a mega bid" was in reference to sharing with him the rumors on the line about the 400 ER pilots slots being moved or surplussed.
I personally think that anything like 400 in one category would be mega.... |

That is their issue, they have and are looking to sell assets. Go look at their cash position.

So the AE that was supposed to be a nice positive AE is now somewhere between a slightly sucky to flat AE and a mini displacement-fest. At least our alliance partners like AF and AS are growing while we capacity discipline ourselves into shrinking to prosperity.

This was the kicker for me. After floating along fat, dumb, and happy for years, one day I woke up and looked at my wife and two boys and instead of feeling the warm fuzzy I was used to I got the "Holy Poo, What if..." shakes. I'm a really healthy guy (gym twice a week, run 30 miles a week, borderline obnoxious when it comes to food, etc, etc), so I think I can do better than Delta's blanket coverage.
So, anyone in the mulitple kids one wife (or general sole provider) bucket, I'm curious about what kind of coverage you think is adequate and where you get it. PMs welcome. |

He can do no wrong because he avoided flying for American when they had a "B" scale. Never mind that Northwest eventually had a "B" scale that Carl and his fellow pilots voted for. It's okay though because Carl only flew on the "A" scale. Now I just ignore his posts. I don't have any respect for ALPA either. I sent a DPA card in over a year ago. They will not get another one until I'm under a new contract. If the contract meets my expectations, they will never get another card. As someone who's been on the 320, DC-9, and MD-88, I will never fly with Carl. He will be retired before I am ever done being displaced between our narrow body fleets.
