Since your main questions appear to be about DPA, let's discuss them on the DPA thread. OK?

There will be no conversions (at least at this point) to a full type. If you don't already have it, you wont get it until you upgrade to captain on the airplane. Hopefully that day will actually come..... |
As far as the 320 PIC type rating, you will not get converted to one if you didn't get one in training. I've asked, trust me. :)
I missed the cutoff by 2 classes for the PIC rating. I guess it is the reward for coming in and having to take your SV on day 3. :( |

Also, without a good bit of extraneous math, how do you figure out how many numbers up or down you've moved in category?
Thanks I moved up 5 positions but we lost 11 off the back end so once again my relative position is backwards in category/base. |

:D I never get to say anything like that anymore. I'm married. I wave the white flag.

I dropped to 89% in my category. :( My first year in ATL I moved up to 86% on the 767, and it's been nothing but backwards since then.
You know what's weird, I held a line on ATL 7ER 3 months out of training as a new hire. Not NYC, but ATL. Who am I kidding, I've only been here 4 years, I'm still a new hire. And an *******. But one thing I found interesting - there were 362 surpluses on the last bid and 362 vacancies. And that came out to be 986 awards of which 482 were not by choice with 662 training events were created. So it was a ratio of 1 MD/VD to 1.8 training events and 1 MD/VD/AE posted to 2.7 awards. Give or take. |
