American Airlines First To Be Granted FAA Approval For Pilot iPads | TechCrunch
AA is bankrupt, but they still ponied up for iPads in the cockpit. Once again, Delta sits on the "industry leading" sideline. I'm fine with that, though. Just show me "industry leading" scope, pay, and QOL improvements on C2012--and I'll put up with Jeps indefinitely. Are you aware that the iPad is currently being tested by Delta pilots out on the line? The iPad is in the final test phase right now. |

FO lines are showing up; just click on the blank where the 'X' should be.

Has any money been authorized and allocated to fund them? Wake me up when that happens. Until then, there's nothing to see here. |

Jesse are you in the Atlanta area? Need a good place to get some clubs fitted since I'm a taller guy! Suggestions anyone?

Is there a limit as to how many times you can move days off around on a reserve line? I checked my request in PCS and it says "not allowed until next months schedule" Prior to this request I have moved around days off twice so far in December so I'm guessing it's a 2 award limit per month? Couldn't find anything in the contract.

I with ya on the scope issue. Big time.
I'm fine with it, but the seniority thing has had a huge effect on me with respect to being ATL based. (My choice) |

"Final" test phase? hmph. Until I'm holding one, they don't exist.
Has any money been authorized and allocated to fund them? Wake me up when that happens. Until then, there's nothing to see here. What exactly are you upset about here? You praise American, criticize Delta, and post an article as proof that Delta is sitting on the "industry leading sideline." But, the article says that American is/was joining Delta and Alaska's intentions to switch to the ipads. So what that American got approval first? Delta is working on it, aren't they? First paragraph of the article: If you’re flying American on Friday, there’s a chance your pilot will be using an iPad instead of the traditional paper flight charts. The airline has reportedly become the first major one to get FAA approval for the device, though smaller charter lines have had it for a while. American announced their intention to make the switch back in June, joining Alaska and Delta and probably a few others by now. |
