That would be adding capacity, and I cannot see them doing that on a grander scale.

The company wants to "Expand in width not depth". They can add more detinations without increasing frequency. They want to go everywhere so where they pull some they add elsewhere. Its not all "pull".

Super I will not argue semantics. Fact is that a percentage of overall block hrs as this is termed, it different than they termed it the last two times.

I have been as well on the 73. Problem is, it was at 3:00 AM PT and I was SLEEPING! Plus, I'm flying my arse off anyway. Where is the problem Houston? Planes are full....

That's not likely, we are much cheaper as a pilot group than either AF or KLM.....

They are likely ****ed at us for taking PHL-CDG, PIT-CDG, EWR-AMS, BOS-AMS.

Need I keep going?

Yes please do, because it appears EWR-AMS-BOM is going to KLM.

My prediction (and I have those powers): we'll ALL be Air France in 5 years.

Does anyone have the numbers of how many pilots from both sides are currently on leave?

1368 on the June 09 Category list (available on the DeltaNet) are on some type of leave (Mil, Personal, Sick, Medical, Furlough bypass).

88 is still super short as well. I've gotten several inverse assignment calls in the last couple of weeks, and was assinged a tag-on turn yesterday from a reserve trip because "we're out of people." Even the reserve captains are flying alot now!

On another note, in the chat with Steve (Ghorman, I think,) the other day, he talked about the rj fleet plan. He said still way too much 50 seat lift, and that the termination of contracts and natural lease expirations will drop 124 rj's through 2012 (plus 10 saabs) - and said "that may not be aggressive enough." Since they've hit the cap on the 70's and 76 seaters, I don't see any RJ growth for a lonnnng time - unless we cave on something, which alot of folks don't want to happen.

See all you ATL fellows at the meeting on the 23rd.

I said this three months, two months and a month ago, and people bit my head off. I said it once and I will say it again. I am sure that they will get a good amount of the AMS flying.:eek:

Actually I agree with this statement.

It might be good for us Low Cost American Pilots. Those AF and KLM pilots make a lot more than we do...
