FWIW, newK... those are nearly exactly the points that I brought in the mod section as well as via PM to CleeIB. (Clee is the business oversight of this forum.. not a pilot, doesn't care about pilot stuff, and really just cares about keeping the pitchforks and torches down at whatever cost.)

The general idea is- if a mod does something, respect it and don't get all butthurt and post on the thread about it. That fixes nothing and the non-DL mods are suspicious of this thread anyways. If you believe it was out of line, PM the mod. If that doesn't fix it, shoot me, ACL, or johnso (him last- he's dealing with a new wee one) a PM and we can start a pow wow on it. Finally and as a last resort, HSLD is truly the spirit of this forum and a top notch guy. He's very good about responding and really cares about this place.

That all being said: Bar's logic is sound I believe... however, if you're really that upset about something someone said on here, remember... IT'S AN INTERNET WEB BOARD. It's not life or death. However however, I'll be danged if I let something like this keep ftb from posting pure brilliance in photoshop.

I thought Shuttle started flying to chi-town out of LGA long before that. I remember seeing them when I checked out back in early 07. Apparently 5 years of development doesn't work.

That being said, my last trip was 3 cities (TUL, ROC, and OKC) that I haven't seen a mainline plane in for years.

Just to clarify ... the issue is not an open post. The issue is PM's from no where threatening to ban someone from this board based on false allegation from a Super Admin.

If it was a random post, I'd not be angry. But Super Admins inserting themselves in the course of a thread WHICH WAS ENTIRELY WITHIN THE RULES AND GUIDELINES OF THE SITE is inappropriate and shows a lack of appreciation for those who provide the content for this site.

If I walked up and slapped a Delta customer for no reason I would be fired in short order. There is a certain respect which must be maintained towards your customers, even if they are complaining.

Clee would not respond to PM's after he initiated the issue, so it boiled over on him.

SWA has zero desire to start up and/or maintain a separate MX program for a very small sub-part of their fleet, especially one with oddball engines. Someone else in ATL has a pretty large MRO operation and engine overhaul shop.

The way it was explained to me was that rather than do it themselves, they'd rather outsource the MRO/engine work to someone else.

SWA will not part with those airplanes until the leases are up. You can bank on that. Their "new" airplane orders don't kick in until those leases are up, and they cannot maintain their current domestic route structure without them. Tranny's 737s are committed to the current international and transcon schedule.

So, I hate to be the designated douc...er, um, cheeky fellow, but I don't want to see all y'all disappointed when something that was never going to happen, never happens.

Correct and correct. Pilots are irked about soft porn not being able to be posted. Well guys, keep it PG-13 and things will calm down. You are irked at what Clee did. PM him. 80 will agree that PM's have a history of being private for a reason. It is not against the TOS to post em, but it is against the precedence of this site.

Fact, we want this thread to continue and in the same spirit especially now. I could care less about the money involved. To me it is about a form of communication for the next contract talks. Lets keep the eye on the ball and realize that Clee is IB's site admin. He should respond to you, and I am sure he will. Unlike us, he does not live on here.

What prompted Clee to PM Bar? Was it a post that he deemed to be disrespectful to the site , or the new Mod? Clee stepped in to tell a few guys to quit razzing the new mod, as well as a few other items, and that is, well his prerogative. Maybe he saw what was posted as disrespectful.
