You can drop up to 4 reserve days with your APD.

If you walk over to the parking lots behind the museum hanger buses leave every 15 minutes or so. I find it more convienent than the hotel shuttle.

That sucks. A widebody guy can wipe out his 11 day trip and I can only wipe out 4 days of reserve. Oh well

Thanks for the info BYW

Sounds like you are talking about your "Authorized Personal Drop" or APD. Pretty sure that, on reserve, you can APD up to 4 days. Just realize that you also lose the pay for them as well.

When this happened to me I wanted to bid a week in April to get my kids spring break off. I bid it as primary vacation and, in years past I had gotten it with tertiary vacation, I did not get it. There was no training posted anywhere I could find. I called and found out that I was "scheduled" to go to training over that time even though I could not find it anywhere in DBMS. I was "scheduled" in the crew training schedule so that was good enough. Obviously I was ticked. Tried to pursue it but it went no where...... They claimed "past practice" but there had never been a mandatory displacement during vacation bidding before......

I never would have done this but I suppose some might but, at the time, the thought could have been to bid a week of vacation every month (Apr, May, June) and take 3 or 4 months off!! Training was over a month in duration those days!!

Alot of times, in the process of running the PCS, your category will drop below the required during the run when it comes to your turn but will end up with more by the end of the run.

Yes, the reason was "capped reserve days" but I didn't think it only ran through the list once. So if you ask for PD on 15 and it is not available as the run goes by you, but goes to +7 as it goes junior to you and someone junior gets that day off, it's "oh well"?

How do we trade res days off?

Don't worry, you'll be senior someday.
