If this post doesn't get nominated for an APC Oscar, then there is clearly no justice in the world.

He can't ever get two items in a row, because he soils his underwear whenever he thinks of one, and he has to take a little hygiene time-out.

DALPA won't ever be 'off the property' because there are too many lazy pilots who won't step up to do all the work required to chang it. More work would be required with 'new' representation. There will always be some who like to ***** about it, but few who will actually dedicate the time needed to 'fix it'.

So according to Crew Scheduling SCs are NOT given in seniority order this month. Doesn't start till next month. They are "spreading the wealth" around. Amazing when I see some people with 3-4 SC already done, and the majority with 0.

With this displacement bid coming up, I have a 320 question. Do all the 320s have headsets on board? Are they Telex or David Clarks?

They are telex 750s. It's so nice not carrying a headset anymore. :)

Saw this gem on the NY Times today and thought about the medical coverage discussion we were all having. It's about a new contract that the 30,000 members Hotel Trades Council AFL-CIO got. They represent the housekeepers and other hotel staff in NYC. I just included some of the pertinent parts.

The deal would include annual raises that would increase wages by 29 percent over the life of the contract [seven years]. Those increases would raise the pay of a typical housekeeper to $59,823 per year, from $46,337 today, said John Turchiano, a hotel union spokesman.

The proposal would also guarantee that the members continue to receive medical, dental and optical insurance for themselves and their families with no out-of-pocket costs to them, not even co-payments to doctors, Mr. Turchiano said. In addition, the hotel owners would gradually increase their contributions to the members’ pensions to 10.5 percent of total payroll, from 9 percent.

Asked what concessions the union made in return, Peter Ward, president of the council, said, “We didn’t give up anything.”

Mr. Ward acknowledged that in an economy so weak that once-mighty unions were accepting wage cuts and pensions freezes, the hotel union’s deal might seem extraordinary. But pointing to the rising rates the hotels have been charging and their high occupancy levels, Mr. Ward said, “you have to recognize that the hotel industry is in a unique bubble in New York City.”

“This is unlike the hotel industry in any other city in America,” he continued.

But a spokeswoman for the hotel association, Lisa Linden, responded that “the hotel industry in New York City is not flush; it faces continued challenges and uncertainties.”

“The industry values its workers greatly and their safety is also of paramount concern,” she continued.

Do the female NYC Hotel workers also get 'hazadous duty pay' when the French Billionaires are in town??
