In particular the conversion of 700s to 800s along with the fleet commonality as pointed out by GK is the giveaway on the fate of the 717 in the WN fleet. To reduce cost the only way forward for WN is larger aircraft. If they start touching labour cost the savings will be diminished by the reduced goodwill by the employees aka "LUV"... Cheers George |
Ok, so who is getting the money from the auctioned slots at each airport?
If it is the carriers: Did DAL "sell" the DCA slots and LCC "sell" the LGA slots since that is who held them PRIOR to the deal, or did each "sell" the slots AFTER the trade? If it is the FAA who gets the money......F that. |
