Delta Air Lines can afford a big pay raise, and ALPA needs to be communicating this type of info to its membership!!!
Keep in mind that same money could pay for 12,000 GoJetsss pilots if there is so much as a loophole in your C2012 Scope.

GoJet, ComAir whoever...They are all the same! We know the importance to SCOPE.

Our day-to-day operation is running pretty smoothly, and again that's largely because of the cooperation of the pilot group. If Delta management comes in with a low ball offer (IMHO) that will signal the end of Lee Moak's much touted "Proactive Engagement" philosophy.

That approach to doing business with Delta is based on (among other things) mutual respect. It's just my opinion, but a low ball offer is anything but a sign of respect on the part of management.

Agreed. The company reaps the benefits of our ACARS delay reports, APU usage reports, proactive delay prevention, public engagement and overall cooperation while our higher paid colleagues at FEDEX and LUV just show up and fly. Being a valued employee means more than a memo can ever expre$$.

Exactly. Proactive engagement is apparently a one way street. We need to smarten up.

Bill,

Where exactly is this document that the company and DALPA are using to support what you have stated? I have never heard anything specific to anything from the company except " we need to be competitive ", and nothing from DALPA except the contract summary posted late last year and if i recall correctly SWA was in there. I am one that says SWA right now based on a seat metric and 3 year deal with 20% at the end of 3 years. My opinion on pay, but scope is another story, I want all 76 seat flying back even if it means buying a regional. Biggest mistake DALPA and DAL did was not work to get Compass stapled and bring in the Jungle Jets.

I believe what you say but I just need to deal with facts and I never had anyone from DALPA say you are not going to get that! Or the company say dream on. If you know of a place to read it I would welcome a chance.

Really, you don't think every other airline that you compare to does exactly the same things?

True. However, most of the list at Comair is already topped out, but GoJetsss would be newhires in the right seat and first year Captains in the left.

Where do you think Delta would send the planes?

I believe ya, $35,000 for 12,000 GoJet pilots is probably about right.

Hey Fly,

I can't speak for the LUV boys, but at FDX we did a lot more than show up and fly.....much like DAL folks do now. The biggest difference is that we were thanked in the pocketbook, instead of another " hearty well-done " letter.

Regards,
BG
