Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Perhaps...going to SWA is not the choice that I would make, but I have different priorities. Really, the fact that someone would leave DAL for SWA *despite* their impending lack of growth and 20 year upgrades is even more d@mning. I guess we'll know what the right choice was about 30 years from now. In the meantime, I'd like to see DAL pilots score a contract so good that only a complete moron would jump ship for SWA or any other airline. Under status quo, you'll continue to lose good people to places like SWA, FedEx, etc.

Nah, I'll flow. Will just have to save the Dom Pérignon for my fifth year anniversary, when I can finally afford it
.
In all seriousness, DAL is still my number one choice and I'll be very grateful when (if?) I'm given a flow class. But that joy will be tempered by the knowledge that with the current stagnation I'll be very junior for a long time, the MSP base will probably go the way of DFW eventually, and most of the enthusiasm for a restoration contract seems confined to the (non-DALPA) posters on this board. But hey, I'm a "plan for the worst and you'll never be caught with your pants down" kind of guy...maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised by the future at DAL.

Heh not a space nut but recall something about Schirra not ejecting when he was supposed to after a booster shut down on a Mercury or Gemini launch? Yep, everything's clear in restrospect....

I often read this board and walk away with a much more negative feeling than I should. There's a ton of good info here don't get me wrong but sometimes I don't think things are as bad as some posts here would lead you to believe. Point is take some stuff with a grain of salt. JMHO.

Just when I declare MSP the new "west" coast hub, they keep moving the line in the sand... sigh, when am I gonna get back to the real west coast??
For you junior guys thinking the -9 in ATL will be your salvation from a 15 year upgrade, forget it.
I predict that it doesn't go below 8000. Too many guys dealing with too many fogies for too long. Bet it goes way more senior than you think.

Yup.. it was the rendesvous flight in Gemini. The thing shut down after it had already lit off!! He was one steely eyed missile man. Probably one of THE decisions that got us to the moon when we did..
