It will never happen. Just more 100 seat wishful thinking. They don't want 100 seaters. If they did, they'd already have them. Just like cargo. Nu Apologies for the redundant post. Checking my internet connection after re-wiring my cable coax and moving the home's network switch. Guess I could drive a Comcast truck now. |

Scoop,
My experience has been that if you are not on your scheduled DH it's up to you to get to the hotel. I don't believe they will change the transportation to fit your schedule. If I am wrong, please post here. If you are DH to ATL, there are vans going downtown all the time. Thanks Max and ACL. Scoop |

No this coming out of MCO. So I doubt there were connections. This is off a buddy pass that I was watching over. They assigned 25 nonrevs, then took 8 back and assigned a few more after the fact so I guess they let some on but it still went with 1 open seat. all of this D-10 and inside. That's a lot of unnecessary work for gate agents with no time to spare.
It happened to me not long ago out of PHF. The flight was full and there was a family of 4 on the nonrev list ahead of us that never showed but showed up on the airport list way early. At first it was doubtful we'd get on and then that family actually got 4 seats together and we ended up being split up 1, 1, 1 and 1. Not good when two of those are under 3. The gate agent worked the crowd to see if they could get 2 and 2 together which we did. But as we're sitting on the plane I notice this empty row and sure enough the door shuts, people get up and move into it (CRJ900) and I'm thinking, this checking in at home is not a good thing. I'd prefer as x150 said, go back to nonrevs check in on kiosks only. I know you're one funny guy, but "Buddy" passes to MCO during Spring Break? That right there is some seriously mean stuff. Spoke to a gate agent there many months ago and she said there really was no "good" day to non-rev to from MCO except maybe Wednesday and that was for S-2/3. The another possibility on misconnect could be the atrocious security lines there. Hope they make it. |

Just saw an article showing ancillary revenue for Q3 of 2011 only for all of the US airlines. A total of $2.3 billlion for all the airlines, and Delta made $814 million in that quarter alone. SWA made $232 million. That was in 1 quarter. Hey Sailing, can we have a big raise?

New fangled crowdsourcing wiki technology, can't trust that gee-wiz stuff! And its not fox news, so it must be wrong! That dang Anonymous guy must be making up fleet numbers and editing 15 different airline wikipedia pages again. That APC updater guy needs to update his numbers too, hey you're a moderator drop him a line! Tell the guy there aren't 850 50 seaters. Fleet Size 2012 - 681 2013 - 636 2014 - 580 2015 - 538 121 of the aircraft coming our of service are "Bombardier" or "Embraer" "Regional Jets" Would you like me to research the numbers for Compass and Shuttle America? The 50 is dead. Wall Street would turn a major into a martyr if they signed a long term 50 seat contract. You've obviously not been to Tucson lately. Or Nashville. Or Montreal... |

USAir OO is in fact pulling "parked" CRJs out of the dessert and pressing them into service. I hear they are getting rock bottom lease rates on those "unwanted" birds... Cheers George |

The another possibility on misconnect could be the atrocious security lines there. Hope they make it. It was my neighbor, their daughter was in a cheer leading contest down there. One of those travel team kind of things, it was last moment "we're all going to Disney World!" I said take the buddy passes and go, better than driving. The flights were open. They made it in and out. Plus, she used to be a reservation agent for United, she knows the drill with non-reving. Easy to deal with and self sufficient. But like I mentioned before, seeing the nonrevs assigned seats 10 prior to push and then all of that erased, what a mess. I agree with Hockey about the get it right who cares if its D+1 but we all know how that's viewed. They made their second flight going and third coming back. Still, like I mentioned with the PHF-ATL flight I did in January, that checking in early and not showing really screws over everyone else. Put it this way, what if your nonreving with your family and 10 prior they assign 5 first class seats to the 5 people ahead of you. You get middle seats in the back and board. Meanwhile, 5 prior to push they realize those people aren't here, oh well, they'll just go empty. I know, the fiction part about first class being available, but what if? |
