Anyone else think the buckets should move to 85? :D

I think they should be 100.....or no buckets and just fly the junior guys until they hit ALV then go to the senior guys. Also all junior guys get 6 SC's before the senior guys. :)

I suppose, but when they don't replace those who left, doesn't seem to make anything better.

No kidding... I've moved up 600 numbers since the SLI and moved back 3 categories.

its just means more guys gone and closer to the steady flow of retirements as we get closer to the full effects of age 65. Hey i'll take what i can get when it comes to guys leaving....;)

The reserve system isn't perfect, but I think this is a step in the right direction. A system that doesn't account for seniority is flawed. By the way, I am junior too. Here are some other complaints I have:

Senior people make more money than me, thats not fair.

Senior people get more vacation than me, thats not fair.

Senior guys get the trips I wanted, thats not fair.

We are in a seniority driven profession. That is how it's been since this industry started. The new system brings back some seniority to reserve. This is a good thing. This was fixed outside of section 6 negotiations. I think the new bucket system is a good idea and a good improvement that was relatively easy to implement.

There are more things that need fixing on reserve. You are right, higher reserve guarantee and definitely the same credit per trip lineholder vs reserve. But stop complaining about being able to exercise a little seniority on reserve!!!

Hope no one thinks my questions were meant as me not being happy about the new reserve system. I am very happy about it. Even though I'm very junior and at the top of my bucket, I see the benefits of the new system. I was just trying to get clarification because things weren't looking like what I expected them to. After some explanations though, it makes perfect sense. This new system is definitely a step in the right direction!
