Not sure if you are aware but you don't have to file any paperwork other than to fax the company a copy of your medical. The reimbursement is automatic and listed on the righthand side of your paycheck. I believe it's a negative (number) which is a positive in this instance!!:D Denny |

Yes I do. I want more money in more guys pockets as soon as possible. Not all of us are fortunate to be 54 year old 747 captains Carl.. but I guess that is a foreign concept to you.

Carl ,
You were comparing DAL pilot productivity to that of FDX/UPS drivers...

Just send in a copy of your medical either via fax or scan and email.

Actually I will get there. I doubt seriously that I will bid it though, because the mission bores me. That and I won't be senior enough to be anything but a gutter slime reserve, but I would hold the category.. great deal.. 63 years old.. prime of my career.. sitting reserve.. wooo hooo what a great deal... But that's not the point at all, and you know it.

I never said you shouldn't get any raises. And for someone who claims to be a real unionist, you sure want to take advantage of capitalism (even though you did NOTHING to create the wealth you covet) when it is advantageous to your checkbook. Typical.

One would think that is because the much larger capacity is only a small portion of your overall job (regarding qualifications/training/experience required).
One could say that holding a 747 Captain position is much more due to seniority and chosen lifestyle than it is any other metric (ability, experience, etc). Therefore, that pay premium compared to other aircraft is much more a function of time on property than it is what the actual aircraft is. So why not just build these pay premiums into the longevity scale and reduce the influence a particular aircraft has on a pilot's pay rates? Carl |

If higher pay for larger aircraft is so crazy, we really ought to take a second look at higher pay for captains. The FOs do the same work as the captains, right?
Why not one pay rate for all pilots, regardless of seat? |
Aircraft size only matters for seniority integration, isn't that right? TSquat?
