Hours per Pilot
If you want to know how many hours each pilot averages each month at Delta find out the 2011 block hours flown and divide by 12,000. I guess 6000 would be better - 2 pilots per a/c as the standard.
Now you can refine the numbers for pilots not flying (MLOA. LTD) 4 man crews etc - but a good average would be 2011 Block hours/6,000. Scoop - Could not find 2011 block hours flown. |

But that's the way things are now. Do you want to change that ... Even if it means using "negotiating capital?"
Carl Yes I do. I want more money in more guys pockets as soon as possible. Not all of us are fortunate to be 54 year old 747 captains Carl.. but I guess that is a foreign concept to you. |

Ask our management how pilot productivity is defined and you'll see that they define it as the minimization of credit time and the maximization of hard hours actually flown.

Carl You were comparing DAL pilot productivity to that of FDX/UPS drivers...now you tell me how DAL defines productivity.....I think you just played the red herring card. I guess we have our own peculiar notions about pilot worth and productivity. Regards, BG |

Other than the fact that the 744 has the capacity to carry triple that of yours, but my pay is not triple yours. The higher pay is a small premium based on what it can carry. You were fine with the system til you figured out you probably won't get there. Now you want a new system. Typical.
Carl Having some size compensation issues, Carl? |
