I know you don't believe 744/777 guys should get any raises...that's clear. Who woulda guessed you'd turn into an Obama wealth redistributionist.

Hey guys
How much does the company reimburse us for our FAA physicals? Just saw my local guy and he's raised his rates dramatically. Thanks! Buzz |

Carl One could say that holding a 747 Captain position is much more due to seniority and chosen lifestyle than it is any other metric (ability, experience, etc). Therefore, that pay premium compared to other aircraft is much more a function of time on property than it is what the actual aircraft is. So why not just build these pay premiums into the longevity scale and reduce the influence a particular aircraft has on a pilot's pay rates? |

One would think that is because the much larger capacity is only a small portion of your overall job (regarding qualifications/training/experience required).
