ALV + 15 as a guy on reserve would kill you. On long call you don't know when your sign ins are until 12 hours prior. On short call you could sit all day and be called just prior to release. It would really kick a guy's ass. They are some really tough 70 hour months on reserve. I guess when you choose to sit reserve that's what you'll get.

I've got a quick question about reserve. I'm in a two day bucket coming up and I've flown so my RAW score is pretty high right now. I'm still first on the list to be called, though, because I'm the junior guy. If seniority now rules, what is the point of a RAW score? As I understand, I can have a RAW score of 100 and have five senior guys with 0 RAW scores, yet I'll still be called to fly before them. Am I reading that right?
Because your RAW gets you from Group 1 to Group 2, Group 2 to Group 3 & so on. Once you hit Group 2, you'll drop below all the pilots senior to you that are still in Group 1. Then they'll be assigned the flying before you. |

Did the survey results really show people wanted an increase in the ALV? I'm still trying to understand why it's being discussed being increased. Total non-starter for me.

I like that my gripe about storage for relocation has been addressed. The flexing Alv+15 sounds like reserves are going to be abused greatly. What is with the bid periods for June, July and Agust changing? Company already gets away with two less off days in Jan-Mar for reserves.
Seems like concessions not gains. |

I am stunned!! Appalled!! This Negotiator Notepad is unbelievable. I can't imagine why they would put this out. Are we back in bankruptcy? Somebody tell me why I shouldn't panic. Please. |

People like to compare our pay rates to SW pay rates. Which is fine. But if you are going to do that you also need to compare SW productivity to ours. Do you really think we are going to get a big pay raise if we are not more productive?

Now I understand why negotiations are going at such a fast pace....... There will have to be major improvements in many other areas to offset the increase in productivity. Say goodbye to forward moving AE's if the rest of the contract is anything like this NN.

Its all of the productivity and none of the pay raise. Like I said, I'll eat my words if our rates get a 50% bump. |

It will be a lot of jobs unless there are some offsets in other areas. Not something I see myself voting to ratify.

Does this mean they are close to sending something out to a vote?
Any idea/rumor on scope? I get the impression they want to up sell the good news as much as possible before dropping the bad news. |
