Default Hours per Pilot

If you want to know how many hours each pilot averages each month at Delta find out the 2011 block hours flown and divide by 12,000. I guess 6000 would be better - 2 pilots per a/c as the standard.

Now you can refine the numbers for pilots not flying (MLOA. LTD) 4 man crews etc - but a good average would be 2011 Block hours/6,000.
Scoop - Could not find 2011 block hours flown.

Yes I do. I want more money in more guys pockets as soon as possible. Not all of us are fortunate to be 54 year old 747 captains Carl.. but I guess that is a foreign concept to you.

So again... it really has little to do with the size of the airplane... thanks.. got it.

Carl ,

You were comparing DAL pilot productivity to that of FDX/UPS drivers...now you tell me how DAL defines productivity.....I think you just played the red herring card.

I guess we have our own peculiar notions about pilot worth and productivity.

I know you don't believe 744/777 guys should get any raises...that's clear. Who woulda guessed you'd turn into an Obama wealth redistributionist.

Other than the fact that the 744 has the capacity to carry triple that of yours, but my pay is not triple yours. The higher pay is a small premium based on what it can carry. You were fine with the system til you figured out you probably won't get there. Now you want a new system. Typical.

Since when does 3x220= 403?

Having some size compensation issues, Carl?

Actually I will get there. I doubt seriously that I will bid it though, because the mission bores me. That and I won't be senior enough to be anything but a gutter slime reserve, but I would hold the category.. great deal.. 63 years old.. prime of my career.. sitting reserve.. wooo hooo what a great deal... But that's not the point at all, and you know it.
