Fuzzy math because you will get the point of view that the overall network would be less, but for a second lets say that we would fly all flying at top market rates for each flying segment. The number if you include the JV's, Code Shares, and DCI would be about 21,700 pilots:

12,000 here
7,500 DCI
700 ALK
1500 JV Jobs

( I did not include intra country code shares. The numbers of the AF JV assume their current flights in bundle one, but are very conservative. The ALK deal is pilots that would be dedicated to ops of DAL passengers flying on ALK metal and again is quite conservative

Bar DCI is 7500 pilots, you are talking active pilots and not including their pilots on the seniority list that are not in active line flying.

Yup, going to have to get out the books and study..........or be taken advantage of by the schedulers, off with the prom dress
You will get RAW credit for each day of vacation.

But do those numbers take into account how we'd staff a nb at around 11-12 pilots per plane versus how the other airlines would do it?

Nope, it is a simple block hrs to pilot ratio I did about a year ago. Like I said, it does not take in to the account the smaller network we wowuld have due to debt limitations et al, but it ia good guess as to how many other pilots are flying DAL passengers.

Ferd,

I'm guessing 14 days of vacation will be worth at least 140 points.

I will then demand restoration. Problem is that even that amount of money would not buy a controlling share of DAL. You could easily buy RJET, AMR Corp, NKS, but the question is would you want to, or would you want to run as fast as you could the other direction?

If for some reason I won, I would probably just go start a band and more ranch land, and not care if I made it big. Fun to dream, but there will probably be 20 winner, and none of us will even get five numbers.
