I'm thinking 100M is a high number. It might be the all in cost with all upgrades, epa issues and licences, etc, but may be high even with all that.
Funny thing, millions, when you forget all the zeros, you can lose millions. My AFB spent $3.4M to redo/rebuild the front gate. Top dollar guilty as charged bid that I could have even mustered with 100% profit was $440K. It took the contractor 13 months to do a 1 month job. Gotta watch those zeros.

Every once in a while we get a poster here who not only is not a Delta pilot, but not even an airline pilot. Their dad works for Delta or something and they want to talk shop but they've never been in the shop. But thanks to overhearing their dad talk on the phone and their time on airliners.net they think they can pass themselves off as a pilot. However, an outsider doesn't talk the same language and focus on the same stuff as a regular line pilot would and after a few posts it becomes painfully obvious.
Anyways, congratulations Padre11%, you've made that list. I had a little maintenance action going on the other night, got to see the slats and flaps in the landing config position during the walk around and man that little wing is huge with those slats and flaps out.

My guess is that management likes the stagnation and no glimmer of hope so when they try and pass off a scope sale for the 717s(or some other carrot) and a hiring spree we are so starved for movement we vote yes.
