Gotcha. Thanks. That actually makes sense since we don't have ETOPS 737's and a 737 Guam based was already considered.

I believe a big part of the reason we got a "super-special" deal on the 737-900's, in addition to fending off Airbus, was liquidated damages from the -787 non-performance. I believe Delta also got max-gross upgrades on all the rest of the Boeing fleet - frames and engines - as part of the deal. Perhaps ETOPs was thrown in with that, too.

Better to end it that way than to start it that way. Wish me luck I am debating going cheap and laying 25 pallets of sod on my own, after I lay 25 yards to top soil and grade the yard. Yep, I am a pilot and I am cheap. :D

Rumor today swirling over in SWALand is that the 717 sale to DAL is complete, and will be announced on Friday.
MEC being briefed today at the Special MEC meeting on the purchase. In other news, water is still wet, fire is still hot, and Gutter is still a tool. Don't pile on the messenger, this is just some wild rumor I heard from an AT guy. I thought it was kinda funny. Nu |

I tried that, but to pay someone 3K bucks to lay sod is just insane. I can get the whole thing done in two days, or about 20 hrs of work. Plus, it will keep me off of here.
BTW, that's one big-ass yard. |

If you are buying 25 pallets of sod, you are clearly paid too much.:D Ducking and running. |

20 hours for 25 yds of dirt spreading and 12,500 ft2 of sod?? I assume you have a Bobcat and got some "helpers" from the Iron Skillet in Roswell?
BTW, that's one big-ass yard. I have a bobcat and or the JD 310C that I will use. The sod will be manual labor my me, and if I am so inclined a few day helpers at ten bucks and hr, but they are hit and miss. |

If the pilots came in full, they would come off the bottom of their list. If we took Capt's that would be interesting since they would be coming over here in place of a FO off the bottom of the list. I'll wait and see and not get spooled up yet. |
