That's the artsy kind of picture you have to take when she's three inches taller than the dude.

Edit... notice while he's grinding on her, she's looking at the cockpit...

It's in there, Gloopy. Unless it's been superceeded by some LOA, Section 23.9.b of the contract....

A short call pilot....

....must be promptly available for contact by Crew Scheduling during his short call period until the earlier of:
1) the end of the short call period, or
2) his departure to report for an awarded/assigned rotation.
Exception: A pilot will not be required to be available for contact during the first two
hours of his short call period as follows:
a) At the time the pilot is notified of his conversion to short call, the pilot will
advise Crew Scheduling that he will be:
i. traveling to his base, and
ii. unavailable for contact during the first two hours of the short call.

When all you can get are Ferds rejects there isn't much to leave behind. Blame Ferd! He is the hot chick magnet.

Not going to argue with you(too much). I know that what you state is the way things normally happen, and I agree that having to call them the day prior is silly, but you would lose that bet about it not being in the contract. Some of he schedulers try to enforce it, most don't. Seems silly to have to waste their time with a phone call at all. We should be able just send them some sort of electronic message through ICrew.

Section 23.9.B.2 Exception

a) At the time the pilot is notified of his conversion to short call, the pilot will advise Crew Scheduling that he will be:
i. traveling to his base, and
ii. unavailable for contact during the first two hours of the short call

...and now I see that newk beat me to it

Ferd even gets awards for not leaving any leftovers. It's called the clean plate club.
