Speaking of reserve....I'm at 76:30 with 4 more days of reserve left at the end of the month, I don't show up on the Reserve Availability List for those days. Am I off the hook? Can I still YS and GS? Figured they've put me through the ringer so far this month, might as well try to make a few more bucks! Thanks!

If you have exceeded the ALV for the month you are done. You can also refuse any trip assignment that will put you over the ALV if you are still under it. You are free to GS and YS however I think there are a few restrictions on the YS as to how much you can pickup. This is off the top of my head. I would download the contract and make sure you understand the rules. I would guess that perhaps half the pilots I speak with on reserve are unaware they can't be forced to fly a trip that projects them over the ALV. You might only have 55 hours but if they try and give you a 24 hour domestic trip and the ALV is 78 hours you can refuse it.

If 76:30 is over your category's ALV (or within 2 hours of), then the answer to all your questions is yes.

Sure, but why would you? Not only would you make less money (70 vs ALV) you would wind up sitting on reserve the rest of the month. This rule was definitely crafted for the non-commuting, don't-want-to-fly types.

It's a good rule though...if they could force us over the ALV it would cut the head count big time.

Just commuted for the first time this month...anybody else notice that this months Sky Magazine looks like a gay lifestyle magazine? (not that there's anything wrong with that). What kind of man refers to a shirt as a "top?"

Default Luggage repair/damage

I have a 2 year old luggage works bag and it's already shot. Commuting on DCI and placing a pink tag on it is like a death sentence to the bag. The bag shows clear signs of abuse.

Anyone have any luck on getting reimbursed for the repairs? I'm getting sick of pouring money into an already expensive bag.

Delta has been courting the Gay communtiy for many years, they sponosr most of the Parades too, because they (the Gays) spend lots of money on travel, I guess since they don't have as many kids to put through college, they have more money to...Blow...on vacations?

My wife once asked me, "If I die, will you remary?" I just about blew out a lung laughing!

Once I caught my breath, I said, "HELL NO! I'd rather be Gay than let another Woman run my life!"

Quick, one of you Navy studs, throw me that Vollyball, and cue the Top Gun music!
