And as you see here, I ONLY use those things for work related stuff...like using the APC forum to gather info on DL pubs emails! :D

Timbo,

Do you have a landline at home? My accountant told me this past year that unless I had a primary phone line, I couldn't claim my cell phone. He suggested I buy a magic jack. Have you heard of this rule?

good post Sailing, that is exactly right.

We are about to get skunked on work rules, advancement and QOL if people don't wake up and realize the points you just made here. The folks who keep trying to minimize these points tend to be strongly associated with the inter union agenda pushers IMHO.

Jack,

It is very easy to fall for this. Initially I also started to extrapolate my last few years forward under this NN, but the more I thought about it, spurred on from some good insight on this thread, my thoughts on this have topic have "evolved."

Scoop :)

Another LIE. This does not apply to the Delta pilots and never has. The ALPA C&BL* allows a dues exemption for pilot contributions to their 401k if the 401k is the only retirement plan they have. The Delta pilots have never qualified for that exemption. This will not affect the Delta pilots at all. It is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

This is from a group of experienced and knowledgeable former ALPA volunteers? This discussion was on the forums a few years back. Any forum lurker should remember it was debunked then as well.

I agree, and should have been more specific. I don't understand why people make assumptions from the NNP. And this is not directed at you scambo. Does it not lack detail? Do we know for certain that reserves can be down to 99 hours a month? I misinterpreted the 3:1 ratio and 255 cap. I think some still do.

My point being, some on this forum have already made a decision on how they will vote, and we don't even have a TA yet. Seems premature to me. JMHO.

Hmmmmmm.....well I'm not sure how I'll convince him otherwise. He told me he learned this because a customer of his whom is self employed was audited, and was nailed for claiming her cell phone expenses. Guess I'll have to do some digging. Thanks

No.... you don't. The Gold HRA plus Dental is $262/month for family.

You've just proved the point of other posters, that people routinely exaggerate their situation, then use those "facts" to complain about it.
