The absurdity of saying "anything less than 30% is a NO vote" without any regard for the rest of the TA and considering the time value of money amazes me. To those of you making statements like that - have you considered how big of a raise it will take three or four years from now at the conclusion of prolonged Section 6 negotiations to make up for 3 or 4 years of no raises in the meantime?

Me? I will evaluate any TA in its whole. I have not developed any "lines in the sand." I would love to get back to C2K rates, especially adjusted for inflation, but I will be pragmatic when I evaluate any TA. We should all do the same.
Very well said!!!!!

I will tell you that 22% increase in hourly rate by 2013 will pass muster (58% approval) depending on the rest of the deal.
Agreed. We (and our company) don't live in a vacuum. Look around, the (financial)world is falling down all around us. However, remember, pay comes and goes. Scope and workrules (pretty much) stay forever.

I just hope the 717 deal doesn't involve bringing in SWA/AT pilots with the jets. I have a SWA dude in my reserve unit. In a typical cavalier attitude he told me we were saving them by taking their 717s as well as the angry AT guys.
Maybe pref interviews. Otherwise they will wait until after the vote if it comes to that and AT guys are included.

I think they closed all of the fun backdoor stuff.

Backdoor stuff to see your schedule before the little blue X pops up.

I mean it's just a pet peeve of mine. Kind of like when people say tit-for-tat. That makes no sense, it's tit-for-tit.
It is tit for tit. That's for sure. Is that a call out for TA underboob?

Recently I saw them practice but it was with ceilings restricting their vertical stuff. They all disappeared. Now that could be a practice thing but I kind of remember seeing this at an air show once too.

So I was wondering, during those parts of their performance where they'd done a vertical maneuver do they just disappear for the allotted time? Or do they fill in the vertical parts with another maneuver?
There are actually 3 shows, Hi, low and flat. Each adjusted to suit the wx. The greater delays in the low and flat are due to wx and greater amount of time required to maintain visual on checkpoints, set up next maneuver and execute rejoins (in general).

I had the same thought but that doesn't make sense. The AT/SWA guys have a job. How about the furloughed UAL guys? They are ALPA brothers. I would rather see those folks get an interview. The low lying fruit on the tree is gone. DAL has a completely different hiring process. Our cool aid tastes different too.
