I agree. It is very funny. Can't tell if you thought it was true since you posted in hiring news

This is the perfect place to post the article. I wish I had thought of that before Abouttime2fish did.

My empirical evidence...I’ve had 4 rotations this calendar year that have NOT been rerouted. FOUR! And over half of those changed at least one layover location.
I’ve also had a miserable go of it recently!! You like that nice trip with that desirable overnight you swapped for? Guess what, you get re routed to some dump for minimum rest. All of us might as well be on reserve with the way things have been going.

Just wondering, how are my chances of getting an interview with four failures, all from my Part 91 GA training? I’ve worked at two 135 freight operators over the past few years and haven’t failed anything and I am about to enter the regionals, either SkyWest or PSA, I still haven’t made a decision. I am also working on a degree online. Does anybody know of anyone who has gotten on at Delta with four or more failures?

No joke, had an old war vet come up to the fd the other day and tell me he'd never fly them again because of this...

Not good right now, I'd say. You'd have to be pretty darn strong in every other application element. Any chance you have a 4.0 from Harvard and run an orphanage on the side?

All u can do is press ahead.

The regional is one step closer. Ditto the degree. There will be a changing landscape ahead.

I think you have a chance. Keep your nose clean, get good grades, maybe try to become a check airman or do some extra curricular work at your regional for the safety department or something. I definitely wouldn't give up. I think in this hiring environment you should be able to get hired at a major. Just keep plugging away. Good luck!

Right now I'd say no chance. With having 1 or 2 failures would probably fly, 4 is starting to be seen as excessive. They also don't really like online degrees. If I were you I'd go someplace with flow or head to Atlas and hope for UPS or FedEx or a LCC. Not being mean, but there are only 2-4 spots out of every 10 interview for non military guys.
