This is very interesting. A year ago I received a fix-it email I responded that I had made the correct of changes, I sent an email saying I made the changes, and I immediately received an email saying that this was an unmonitored email. I received a fix-it email a few months ago again. This time I checked and made sure everything was in order However I did not respond to the email due to my last experience. After reading a few posts I just recently responded that I made sure the requested corrections were made. I did not receive the same email about it being on monitored like I did last year. However the one thing I did do was contact pilot recruiting on Facebook via messenger. I have not received any further communication just yet.

Stupid question probably, but how exactly are new hire hotel accommodations and pay handled?

The company provides a hotel during indoc, but you are on your own for sims as long as you are in ATL. I’m not sure of current usage but when I was there some people went to MIA and some LAS. They got hotels while in those cities. Pay is a salary until you finish OE.

Hopefully this gets fixed during our current contract negotiations!

I thought hotels were on your own during training?

Only if training in Atlanta. If you get sent to MIA or anywhere else for sims the company pays for hotels.

So indoc and sims are on your own unless ATL or just sims?

Thank you and pardon my ignorance. I’m just trying to budget how much I need to pick up now if I get the privilege of the job!

INDOC the company pays for. The only thing you are on your own for are sims in ATL as a new hire (For the record I’m in the crowd that wants this changed)

Do you get your indoc dates during a successful day 2 of the interview? When do you find out training dates?

No.

While signing paperwork at the end of day 1, they told us a “expect” an Indoc date about “4-6 weeks” from now.

The formal invite came in an email about 4 weeks prior to Indoc.

Then during first week of Indoc you will get your schedule for Initial Qual.
