The letters of recommendation are viewed for initial scoring, and the review board determination, they do not count on the panel interview. This is directly from Delta hiring. I don't think you actually get any points for a letter of recommendation. They trigger an application review, and help if the shrink says you're an asshat, but several Delta pilots confirm you're not.

So several delta pilots confirm you’re not an a”hole”? They can’t determine that during your hr interview with recommendations? I think is way deeper than that. They don’t even talk to you I think it’s strictly the shrink! Corporate BS!

I went to the Courtyard Marriott, at the time they had a delta rate they gave for the interview around $80. Just kinda behind the Hilton, short walk to G.O.

Again, do you have a source when you say Delta hiring? Is it posted somewhere? Or are you talking the internal letter? We are referring to the airlineapps LORs. Unless things have changed in the two months since my last conversation with two pilots on the interview panel, the AApps LORs have no bearing on anything till you show up...I have seen the sheet they use to score the apps, LORs are not on there and haven’t been for several years.

You are correct, they will invite you via email, you call and get a date. Once you get a date they will email you and they will spell out what you need to bring, no LORs are necessary.

Yes internals, from other Delta employees. Depending on who it's from, it may trigger an interview, even if your app isn't scoring high enough. I have no idea if outside LORs are considered beyond, maybe the Board review.

Default Best interview prep service for Delta

Alright folks, here's my situation:

Corp. pilot, been updating an application for years, and finally got the interview invite a couple days ago out of the blue. I have an interview scheduled for the end of October- so I have a lot of prep to do, and need to do it fast!

Is there a consensus on which prep service is the best for Delta Air Lines? I did a quick search on the forum and the results I found mentioned Aero Crew Solutions, Centerline, Emerald Coast... but all the info was years old. I understand I should use RST for the tech portion.

I am an Emerald Coast member, so I can go back through their course fairly quickly at no additional cost, but I'm not against spending a bit of $$ if another service is "the way to go".

One more thing... how accurate is the info I hear about "blue suit, red tie"? Does it matter at all, or can I use my black suit I've worn maybe 4 times..?

Thanks folks.

Emerald coast is ok, but I thought the one on one interviews were kind of lacking. Many people have used them though and gotten hired.

As for the suit? It doesn't matter as long as you don't walk in with a purple one and a pimp hat and cane.

One big trick for the HR part: go through all the RST ride reports and copy all the HR questions people have gotten. Make sure you have a good story or explanation of how you would answer each question. Don't memorize, just a good general idea. Practice answering them and record yourself. You don't want to be surprised by a TMAAT question with no answer.

Use emerald coasts videos on how to frame your answer
