Good save on checking the junk folder! A recommendation for others would be to email filter anything from Delta or AirlineApps.com to make sure it doesn't accidentally get junk/spam filtered. For example, I had gmail filters for "subject:Interview", "from:*@airlineapps.com", "subject: Delta", etc. all set to Mark as Important and Never Send to Spam. It would be a shame to miss an opportunity over an overzealous spam filter.

Congrats on the invite! Did you do the Delta ATP-CTP? I did and am hoping to hear back soon, making my way through RST just in case I get the call...

Default Looking for advise

I am a former military helicopter pilot, currently approaching the 1000 hours 121 to upgrade at the regional level. Recently I received a job offer at a ULCC and have began debating my future. My goal is to fly for Delta and I am struggling with deciding between staying at the regional or accepting the offer and gaining experience flying at a larger airline. Can anyone tell me if the PIC time is more important than the experience from a ULCC and additional type rating.

For Delta, I believe most folks are going to tell you get that multi engine turbine PIC ASAP!!!

I think the general consensus is that TPIC trumps an extra type rating by a long shot. If you’re close to upgrade and you don’t mind the company you’re with, I’d stay put.

I would go to the ULCC (if is spirit, maybe Frontier). It shows that you have career progression, which also Delta likes.

Also, what if you never received the call from Delta or any other legacy airline? Better be in a ULCC than in a regional. This is just my opinion.
