New Hire IQ? Depends. Some folks get a crash pad for the month, some foot the bill for a hotel (some of the VA ave hotels will cut you a deal). Some find a roommate, some go solo. Not sure what the current trend is, but some were getting Miami (and LAS?) sims on certain fleets - those non-ATL hotels were paid for by the company.
There are no shortage of fliers in the training center break room for crash pads, plus a few websites that have offerings. Having a vehicle opens up lots of options.
Indoc is paid hotel by the company, btw.
Best of Luck.

Sadly that's not going to enough to make up for this last summer and retirements early next year. All NB fleets better be stocking up on lube this winter were going to need it next summer!

They plan 900 plus new hires for the summer schedule. He discussed narrow body manning extensively in the letter. The plan 436 retirements in the same time frame.

Yeah better get that lube ready! I am in one of the most understaffed categories in the system and I was getting 16-17 days off all summer with 1 reroute. Gotta get that lube! Haha rape jokes!
