If they're so particular about who they hire, especially when so much of that is the person and not just the numbers on the resume, then wouldn't it make sense to weigh the recommendation of those hand selected people a little more than just a blind app pull/score?
Hey, maybe that’s what that “piece of the puzzle “ was for!

tm602, I wouldn’t put too much stock in what some random FO at the airport said. Keep trying.

I'll be working on revamping the application. If anything pans out from it, we'll see. Can any of you suggest a good resume/application reviewing company?
Just to pile on here, I also strongly recommend Checked and Set.

My GPA is not stellar. My original app was torn apart by Checked and Set and I rebuilt it. I have an interview! (fingers crossed!)

I'd still keep an eye on e-mail and junk-mail in case someone backs out.

At least you know it's coming, just a matter of when.

Guess I better quit then and tell the other 4 from my class they’re not liked either. I’m crushed. I think the bigger factor is your qualifications and training are a bit of an unknown. Maybe try to accentuate your leadership skills or any other personality traits that would make you a pilot Delta wants. Delta can train you to fly an airliner but they can’t train away a personality problem.

Just on a side note. C&S had me list every single tho rating (4) individually under education as "Professional Development", even ones obtained from the regionals. Did they have you do the same? I thought it was a little wierd and excessive, but did as told.

It is actually a Delta requirement. The 'Delta Air Lines Pilot Recruiting' page on facebook has a post talking about this.

"We’d like for everyone to list all of their civilian pilot certificates and ratings, except for type ratings, as professional development courses in the education section of AirlineApps. (...) These instructions are not included in the AirlineApps instructions for the since this is a Delta requirement and the education section of the application is generic to all airlines."

If I read his post correctly and "tho rating" is "type rating," the instructions you posted contradict that.
