What's competitive to get an interview on Virginia Ave. these days?

Anyone else?
"Competitive" is a difficult word to define these days. You have to look at the whole picture, not just numbers.

School at which you received your degree. What type of job do you have now? (121/135/91K,etc) Any military (flying or other, both 'check the box') 'Extra stuff' at work (LCA/CP/Management/FAA examiner/checking authority) Internal recommendations?

Something to remember is that you are competing against probably 9000 'Qualified' regional folks, and who-knows-how-many 'Qualified' military folks.

What do you have on your app that makes you stand out against the field? Just doing the job and having numbers doesn't equate to an interview invite in today's pilot market.

That probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but as you'll find looking through all these threads, there is no magic, silver-bullet answer to your question.

Aside from the military and probably Endeavor, do DL recruiters "prefer" to look at pilots from any particular regional?

Of course in the end it comes down to the individual, but. . . hard not to think about this when you're researching regionals.

Thanks for any input!

Talked to a LCA today and he said hiring 120/mo for years to come.

What's the monthly premium for the family health care plan? Deductible, out of pocket max? Thanks!

Expressjet and SkyWest are hired in high numbers, but they also have more pilots than most regionals so that might skew the numbers a bit. Very few from Mesa and almost none from Gojets.

Thanks for the info.

Any word on Republic? Not my top choice right now, but by the end of the year they could be.

Anybody know if being a LCA can bring your points up if you've got a 2.5 GPA? Thanks

LCA is a huge feather in your cap for sure.

GPA is still a big deal to them (IMO it carries a bit too much weight right now) but I think they're almost out of Valedictorian Summa Cum Laude Rhodes Scholars anyway.

If everything else is on point, I'd be surprised if you didn't get call sometime this year (assuming you're not scooped up by another airline first).

LCA weighs a lot, always has.

There are too many options to discuss here, and they change every year

Thanks! Do you know any other big point deductions on the application?
