They wont have to. There will be no shows. They are just overselling seats to meet the statistical number of people that show up.

Piece of cake. New hires are already teaching themselves aircraft systems before they show up. They'll now do the 100 series with a wall poster at home on their own too.

There's an APP for that. Just don't try to play it on your Surface 2. My 7 year old almost meets the new hire mins on his iPad.

At this rate he'll make captain right after I do.

Just got the following from DAL:

Your application indicates that you have worked as a civilian flight instructor but you have either not listed any flight instructor qualifications on the application or you have failed to list where you were employed as a flight instructor. Please list your applicable flight instructor ratings and/or your instructor employment on the application even if you no longer maintain these certificates.

Thanks for your interest in a pilot position at Delta Air Lines!

Sincerely,

The Delta Pilot Selection Team

I went back to my app and my 2 jobs as a full-time CFI are listed with the position as "Flight Instructor". My CFI cert#, issue date and ratings are all shown.

Anyone else get this? I'm not sure what to fix, but I don't want to do nothing and get removed from consideration.

Shoot an email back to them and tell them, politely of course, where to find the info and contact you if they need anything else.

We'll institute a policy like SWA had, only because we have every fleet type imaginable, new hires will sit in a pool until they get typed (at their own expense of course) in everything we have. That way we can reduce the run time of the memory stick training and save even more money and buyback even more stock for great success!

I'd email like the other poster said. But in the meantime, scour your app line by line. There's some obscure stuff in there. For example to properly update your "flight time" requires entries and modifications on (IIRC) at least 3-4 different and separate pages of the app and 4-5 different and separate blocks on those pages, including your new total time, new time in type, multi, SIC/PIC/etc, number of approaches in 6 and 12 months and date of last flight. Miss one and its not a full update, etc. Since lots of pilots hired are CFI's and this isn't a common query (that I'm aware of) then you possibly may have missed something very small and maybe semi hidden within your app.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Thanks all for the tips. I sent a message to the DAL Pilot Recruiting Facebook page and got a very quick response. Hopefully I'll hear something back after they looked into it. They said they couldn't think what it would be off the top of their head. Another person suggested I add where I got all my ratings in the Education section as 'Professional Development', which I just did.

We'll see what happens. Either way, messaging the DAL Pilot Recruiting Facebook page was extremely responsive so far, if anyone else has similar questions.

Interview invite today! No TPIC time, either. I'm pretty pumped over here!
