If they are doing this with the military guys what does this mean? I.E. The pot of mil guys is drying up?
Interesting. Here at the regionals I'm still flying with military guys/gals that have quite the credentials. One for example a ret. Colonel with about 4k heavy time from the mil. He's been with us for almost a year and recency of experience is up. Another guy a KC-135 2,200 hrs - IP, Safety, etc. but neither has heard anything. Just wondering what spectrum it is that some are getting the invite so far out and yet available guys are hearing crickets.

Just a curious question for you pool guy's/gal's. If you were offered a class date at another carrier like United, AA, FedEx, UPS etc. (assuming you had a CJO from one) before offered a class date with DAL, would you take it. If so, would you leave there when DAL offered you a class date?
An airline will not think twice about letting you go if they need to. You need to do what is best for you.

That's about the same as me. Active duty Air Force (12 years) separating with 4K total time, 3100 PIC, IP in 3 jets. I'm blessed to have an interview with Southwest upcoming, but nothing heard from the UAL, DAL, AA at all. IMO, these companies need to clear out the backlog of apps and see who is interested NOW.
So with full interviews and an overfilled pool, what are you suggesting they do? Looks like they are already pushing off interviews for folks not ready to get out of the military, so that would seem to indicate those being interviewed are ready now.

Same boat as you man.
I agree with TarHeelPilot. Just seems a company would want to hire people who are super ambitious about working for them. Who knows. It's been a mystery ever since I filled the app out almost a decade ago. Granted I know hiring has only began in recent years. Being on this side of the fence is tough. Everyone says "you'll get your shot" well when? I know they can't hire everyone at once, but those of us who have been working in the Delta system for years, clean apps, great work history, volunteer, training credentials, etc, etc. have really tried to show a genuine ambition for DAL - seems to not hold value as much as many would like.

I can assure you that a guy hired 10 months ago at United isn't the reason you are not getting called by Delta, American, etc. That guy's applications have not been updated and are no longer being looked at. There is no need to clear the cache or have a do-over. Doing so would be akin to starting a 500 lap race over again at lap 490, so the guys in the back can catch up.
