I'm wondering how much notice one gets for the interview. For example, if you got called today about setting up an interview, how much time would you have to get ready for it? And are they interviewing five days out of the week, or just interviewing large groups of people on one day of the week?
As was already stated, start prepping now! Get your “tell me about a time” stories squared away, and “what would you do” scenarios reviewed. Also, start reading up and studying for the JKT, and pay someone to review your app. By all means have a friend or 20 look it over first, but they won’t take the time that someone will for money $$. Plus it’s their job so they usually have the most up to date info.

I got my interview invite on 20 Dec 17, and when I called to schedule it the first available interview date was 28 Feb 18. Watching numbers and ride reports lately, I wouldn’t expect that to get much shorter any time soon. Just an FYI, indoc class 14 May means another 2.5 months waiting after the CJO.

I started prep in September after I initially published my app. I also had an interview with Envoy in late October and Endeavor in November.
Shoot me a PM if your friend has any more specific questions. Always happy to help.

They are very flexible in working around your schedule. The earliest they can get you in is typically 3-5 weeks. I know one person had to call them back to delay their interview by another month and they were fine with that.
And as far as getting "ready." You should not be waiting until they call, you should start preparing now. This is not something your cram for. You want the days or weeks leading up to the interview to be stress free.

The hiring team runs interviews 4 days a week, Mon-Thurs, with Friday being the day 2 psych doc stuff from the Thurs class. They do not do computer testing or pilot interviews on Fridays.

I've heard from multiple sources that they try to review it within 30 days. I got the impression they were a little backed up after dumping 1,200 more names into the system (job expo attendees) in October but it sounds like they're back (or close) to the 30 day mark again.
