I don't ever remember being asked my GPA in my Delta interview or if that was on their 6 page app. This was a long time ago, I guess now they are looking at it. Mine was not spectacular, that's for sure, about 2.5, if that, I think!
I was asked about it at my 6 man Guard Interview Board. I said I'd been very busy flying 6 hours every night during my last two years of college. Then they asked why a girl with only 10 hours scored higher than I did on the Air Force Flying Aptitude Test.
I just burst out with a laugh and said, "That must be some test! Tell you what, put the two of us in a simulator, turn the vis down to zero, and let's see who can find the runway..."
Of course they hired the girl with 10 hours.
Turns out she had been a Captain on Active Duty, and worked in the same office where the tests and answer key is stored. Imagine that.

This is a BS standard. What the airlines need to recognize is that a 3.0 GPA at some places is better than a near 4.0 at others. For example, an engineering degree obtained from one of the top 5 engineering schools in the country is a hard thing to do and grades are usually weighted to a class average of 3.0.......... This is hardly a fair comparison to someone who went to Podunk community college and got a perfect 4.0 because classes there are super easy. In high school I had a 3.95 graduating GPA with a SAT score of 1350 (back when max was 1600) but I chose to attend a top notch engineering program and ended up barely 3.0 graduating.

Darn! You guys are smart! Don't know how I made it with my degree in History from a State school...(and not one of the major two) I guess timing is everything. I've always said "I'd rather be lucky than good!"

Congrats to all coming to interview...maybe someone has already mentioned but I think it is important to emphasize:
Be very careful on Virginia Ave! Not the safest place to walk around at night unless you are with a group. Interviewees may not be traveling in a group until in training. Keep vigilant!
