I am actually surprised Delta would take the time to further evaluate the candidates who did not pass the psychological evaluation. You would think with so many qualified candidate they would move on to the next in line (that can pass) like they have in the past. Also, if the board disregards the psych eval results then what is the purpose of administering the test and eval in the first place.

If previous, if it truly was the "one and done", why the change with so many people that CAN get through it? It would make one think that it would be the OTHER way around.

Regarding the psych eval, for all that chimed in, thanks for some data points. For clarification, his email didn't say he failed it, just that something came up and that they were sending something USPS that would further explain.
I've got some guys in my squadron who I could see may raise a flag on the psych eval, but not this guy....is very strange.
Again, thanks for the stories. Based on what I'm hearing, I'll advise him to keep his ART job for now!

Regarding the psych eval, for all that chimed in, thanks for some data points. For clarification, his email didn't say he failed it, just that something came up and that they were sending something USPS that would further explain.

Should be able to get separation orders from personnel fairly soon after submitting paperwork to get out. These are what the company will want. You won't see a DD-214 for probably 6 months after you are out, and then only if you force the issue and make someone do their job. Std I guess.

WARich, for a guy who seems to want to work for Delta you sure do a lot of complaining. People much smarter than I have determined a way to interview pilots. They get it right the overwhelming majority of the time, as nearly everyone I've flown with in my 13 years at the company has been both a good person and a good pilot. If you ever get an interview you might want to change your attitude. The process is designed to weed that stuff out. BTW, I'm a civilian who had one letter of rec. Seem normal to you?
